Capers offers breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week in a relaxed beachfront setting. It is an ideal choice for breakfast, with all the popular breakfast and brunch offerings and Merlo coffee, typically enjoyed alfresco while looking out to sea.
The lunch and dinner menu offers a wide choice across steak, seafood, pasta and pizza options, with Specials that change depending on the available local produce. Sunday is particularly popular with a pig being cooked on a rotating spit providing tasty pork roll snacks from 2pm to accompany live afternoon entertainment and the full range of beers and wines on offer.
A particular feature of Capers is the offering of 18 beers and ciders on tap, including craft beers, which are also offered on a tasting paddle. Capers has a number of distinct areas to cater for individual preferences and to provide options depending on the weather. The rear deck area adjoining the resort pool, added in 2013, can be separated for conference events or functions, including wedding receptions.
Capers on the esplanade is a contemporary restaurant, fully renovated in 2013, aimed at providing a relaxed and satisfying experience, whether alfresco dining on the Airlie Esplanade footpath looking across to the beach or inside in the lounge dining area. The emphasis is on local produce and the range of craft beers and ciders on tap.
